  2. Task Manager  V1.2 - A new Windows Task Manager

  6. This is a new task manager for Windows. It replaces the existing one by
  7. adding lot more functionality. It's now easy to restart Windows at the push
  8. of a button and so on. Task Manager also maintains the functionality of the
  9. normal Windows TASKMAN.EXE, so application using macros will still work.
  10.  
  11. There is a nice toolbar with tooltips also.

  13. Installation
  14. ============

  16. It's very easy to install. Copy the TASK.EXE to your \WINDOWS directory. Then
  17. copy the TASK.DLL to your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.

  19. Next insert or modify the following line in the [boot] part of your
  20. SYSTEM.INI file to the following:

  22. [boot]
  23. taskman.exe=task.exe
  24.  
  25. Then restart Windows and double-click on the desktop or press CTL-ESC.
